Collection: THE SUMMER LANDSCAPE COLLECTION

The summer landscape collection began as a longing this spring- a longing for beauty, for connection, for normalcy even. An ache to rise out of the isolation of the pandemic, to experience the world and others in full. Not in part, not at a distance and not in fear.

I don't know what this past year and a half has held for you. I think for all of us, it has been hard and scary and sad. There has been loss, discouragement and worry at every turn. For some of you, it's been harder than I can imagine.

But there has also been beauty and goodness. Maybe not in the exact way you or I were hoping for, and not always enough to make up for the bad. But I do hope it's enough to remind you that "there's good in the world... that there's still something out there worth fighting for."

SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL is a collection of 17 landscapes on canvas and paper in various sizes. Many were created specifically for the vintage frames in which they're mounted. The work was inspired by images of the rural South, Appalachian foothills, mid-Western skies, English countryside and roadside fields in Anywhere, USA.
