Sale Benefitting ALS Research

Update: The Instagram Sale closes May 18th. HOWEVER, you may purchase a limited edition print or set of notecards of these two works that were painted in memory of those we've lost and in honor of those still fighting.

ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. There is currently no cure for ALS, and very few medications or therapies that provide relief for the patient.

My beautiful mother-in-law passed away in 2013 from a particularly aggressive form of the disease. Linda was vivacious and loud and so funny. Watching this vibrant, full-of-life woman rapidly lose the ability to walk, speak and eat was devastating, and we miss her everyday.

Although it's considered a rare condition, I know several people who currently have ALS or have lost loved ones to the disease. One of my dearest friends here in Mississippi is watching her father fight ALS, and I understand all too well the feelings of helplessness and despair.

May is ALS Awareness Month, and so for the entire month I will be hosting a Studio Sale on Instagram. I'll post pieces for sale- all sizes, different mediums, some prints, some originals- with 100% of proceeds going to support ALS Research. Make sure you are following my Instagram account @amyelizabethcrabb and check my stories for daily (ish) posts.
